This year members and guests joined together to recreate a Victorian Christmas. Unlike Victorian times the "maids", "orphans" and "street urchins" mingled with the lords, ladies and other members of the trade and gentry. Even Count Dracula and John Brown made an appearance. Prize for the best dressed lady went, of course, to the formidable Queen Victoria and the gentleman's to Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Mr Sid Pimblett the butcher entertained with prestidigitation and song while Mr Brunel provided the parlour games and recited "There's a little Yellow Idol". Music was arranged by the Chilton-Jones' and a Victorian workman played the spoons. The rest of the evenings delights were provided by Valerie, Maureen, Marie and Pauline!!
