Plant of the Month

Most of us buy them as pot plants and they should be well into bloom now.  Providing they are kept cool and are away from direct sunlight they should flower for the next couple of months.  Remember to dead-head to encourage more flowers.

When they have finished flowering, reduce watering - place the pot on its side and keep dry until midsummer.  Then repot using fresh compost, burying the tuber so that the top is just above the surface.  Keep compost barely moist until the shoots appear.
